I am thinking if bullying is something that you cannot stop from happening. I mean, based on the stories I've read and heard, it's always, always the fault of the bully and not the person who's being bullied.
What exactly about bullying am I thinking about? Well, I was wondering what if the person who is being bullied doesn't have a low self esteem and is actually secure of who or how s/he is, wouldn't that eliminate bullying entirely? I think that the problem with most people is we tend to want to please everyone else and if we didn't fit a certain standard, we feel bad about ourselves and if people pointed that out, we feel that they are ganging up on us resulting to "bullying".
I was "bullied" once back in senior year high school. This big barkada in our class decided to pick on me, a lowly normie who wasn't much of a talker. They probably thought I wouldn't fight back considering I really didn't have a solid set of friends in high school and I don't talk unless you asked me something. I was what you call a loner. Anyway, I told them how insecure they were for letting some loner like me threaten them, let it go and decided to not let it affect me. Mostly because I didn't want to come off as palengkera like most of those people who bullied me.
I'm not saying I've figured everything out at 16 years old nor am I saying that I can control my emotions then but I've never thought of ending my life or become a delinquent or be all emo borderline suicidal all the freakin' time just because another person said something bad about me to my face. If anything, that's a great source of feedback of how people look at me and for me, that's always a good thing because if I want to change something about myself, I have a starting point.
I don't know what the point of this post is or what I actually want to say. I just want to put it out there.

This melted my heart.
I saw these in one of my high school teacher's Facebook account and I am soooo touched by it.
The woman was a teacher in Algebra in high school and all those years in HS, I thought she was already married. Then a few weeks ago, my sister broke the news that she was getting married and at first I thought she was just celebrating her 50th anniversary with her husband. The renewal of vows blah BUT NO! She was getting married for the first time! I was in total shock because back then, she was already old (which makes her oldER now) but she still tied the knot. And not just any wedding, IT WAS A CHURCH WEDDING.
Damn, my heart is soooo happy for her.
There's still hope.

FINALLY!!!
After 5 looooooooong years, I now have my copy of my highschool yearbook. I have to say that it was worth the wait 'cause I was laughing my ass off page after page. My write-up, though, was like it was written by someone sooooo damned lazy. Oh, wait, tinatamad nga pala ako nung sinagutan ko yung questionnaire na inaabot nun! My bad.
Terminologies and slangs by the batch were the most precious items in the yearbook. How could I have forgotten the epic "BORENG EPES"?! I AM SUCH A FAILURE FOR FORGETTING. I honestly don't remember where that hirit came from but what I do remember is a day wouldn't pass without me (or everyone else for that matter) saying or hearing that. Most memorable person to utter those words: MACBE.
I think it would be hypocritical of me to say that I didn't enjoy highschool 'cause the excitement and the huge grin on my face when I saw my copy of the yearbook surprised even me. I used to hate going to school. Okay, maybe I just hated the idea of going to an all-girls' school (but I came out pretty well so they might have done something good). My highschool years might not be the best among my years as a student but I definitely enjoyed my stay in St. Paul. Trisix, Tuten, Kam, Dean, Sam, Crespo, Kiara and a whole bunch of people made it worthwhile.
(Oows? Nagdrama pala...)

High School life all over again...

I am currently (okay, maybe not) working on a homework for our Law of Attraction seminar and can I just say I miss having to cram over something?
Homework was given two days ago. Due date's today and I'm not yet even halfway through and seminar's at 5pm. That may seem like a long time but this is a personality development assignment. It's kinda hard to get my thoughts together. Great.
