Birks
(Apparently, these are called "mandals" now.)
I've always wanted a pair of these babies. First fell in love with them back in high school, when all the cool kids wore them with our school PE uniforms during the school fair. Unfortunately, "mukhang pang-construction worker paa mo!", as per my college friend, Kayette, and I prolly won't be able to pull these off so I'm not buying myself a pair. If someone gives me a pair, though, I most definitely will wear them no matter what vegetable my toes look like.
I love these things. Fo realz.

The Power?
I forgot how powerful wish lists and vision boards are. I just posted my wish list for this Christmas last Monday, right? Well, my mom decided she wanted to get me something and actually got me this:
Tomorrow, I'm going back to wish listing and vision board-ing my ass off.

Wishlist 2014
If I am not mistaken, this is my first wish list for the year which says a lot but I am not going to talk about that anymore.
Anyhoo, here are the stuff I've been lusting for these past few months:

Online shopping.
So last night, the boyfriend and I were online shopping for cars and homes for sale. He was the one who found the most pogi car I've seen since 2001, when I fell in love with that red hatchback1994 Honda Civic along St. Paul Rd on our way to school one lazy morning.
Anyway, he saw this house and I can't move on from how much I love it. He's pretty proud of himself for finding it…
The clincher? It's in BF ParaƱaque! I've been going on and on and on and on about wanting to live in the South, specifically in this community, and we've found a house there that fits both our tastes and needs.
This will now go to my vision board and hopefully we get to purchase this soon!

I might've just found "The One".
Good god, I can't stop staring at it and get all high-school-girl kilig when I minimize all my windows.
I don't even like red cars and I've been lusting over passion orange SIRs for the longest time but this formula red SIR…dear god…so pogi!
And the best part? The "Pilipinas" plate. That simple detail made my heart leap 'cause I've always wanted a car that has an old school plate.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! THIS CAR IS SO POGI! NAKAKAKILIG BWISIT!
Chris Jones, whoever you are, you are doing it damn right, son!

Law of Attraction, do your thang!
Since I don't have extra money to spare with enrollment season coming up, I'll leave it all up to the Universe - as usual - to give me this watch Miranda Kerr posted on her Twitter account:
I can barely even afford a Timex watch, what more a Givenchy? But, yeah. Positive vibes, come to mommeeeeeeh!
(I've been waiting for the text editor to load these past few days to post only this. Yes, that's how important Law of Attraction is to me. Hihi.)

It's never too late!
Updated January 26, 2014
Yes, it's never too late to post a budget wishlist. Something people can actually get me. Not that I'm expecting someone to give me something off the list but it wouldn't hurt to put them all out there, now, would it?
(Okay, I was lying. I expect people to give me everything on the list. I won't mind getting 'em after New Year's. KTNXBYE.)

Christmas 2013 Wishlist
You'd think I'd have a Christmas wishlist published 10 days before Christmas but I still don't. To be honest, I'm quite content with my life right now. Okay, maybe a steady stream of income won't hurt but overall, I'm good. I have the best daughter ever, a loving family, great sets of friends and someone who's willing to help me with my baggage. I don't think it gets better than that.
BUT for this blog's tradition's sake, here are some of the things I'd buy if I were given one hundred million dollars for the holidays/ask for if some rich fella wants to spend his money on me:
Plus two more Jordans from here and here. I don't know why but I've been lusting for (relatively) expensive sneaks these past few months. Watches, too. But the one I like most, I already have now (Thank you!) so I guess I can stop looking at watches at the moment.
There are the usual ones that have been in my wishlist for the longest time like that 2-BR condo unit, a 3-door white Pajero or that fully restored Beetle in pink. Plus, maybe, a year's supply of Cheetos Jalapeno and probably doughnuts, too (Dunkin Donuts is good).

I'm sorry, Jordan 11, I want this, too.
So I saw this black-toed Jordan 1 on the Chups Shop website and thought I want it for my birthday, too. But since I still am a single mom who's yet to have her own business, this, once again, goes to the vision board.

The only item on my birthday wishlist this year.
But since I am a single, work-from-home mom who's yet to own a business of her own, I'll just post this on my vision wall first.

Summer.
Yes, I know, it's too late for a summer post but there's summer next year so technically this post is 9 months early for summer.
Anyway, if you know me well enough, I am not much of a traveler. I've been out of the country once when we visited HongKong last December for my sister's 18th birthday and I've never been off Luzon, domestically speaking. Add that to the fact that I am a boring traveler and you get the reason why I didn't go to any trips this summer but that doesn't mean I don't want to enjoy summer. It just means I have a different way of enjoying summer.
If you ask me, my dream summer vacation has got to be to go to a beach. It doesn't have to be in Boracay or El Nido. I'd be good in visiting a small resort in Batangas. It's nearer and it's way cheaper to go there which is really, really, really important for a single mom like me.
Also, I should only be with a special someone, with close friends or both. It's not that I don't want to spend summer with my daughter or my family but I get to be with them most days of the year. I want a weekend off from all the responsibilities and just have fun with friends.
Lastly, it should be a trip where there are no physical activities involved. No partying, no cliff diving, no surfing, no shopping, no nothing. I don't want to be physically tired. Besides, the reason why I'm going on such a trip is to unwind and get my much-deserved R&R. Any physical activity is never relaxing so they're off the list. I just want to lie on my back, by the beach, with a cold beer on one hand and a cigarette on the other.
I'm pretty easy to please so there's nothing really special about my dream summer vacation. How about you, what's your dream summer vacation?

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
I finally got myself Brianna a tablet last Sunday. I got us a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. It was a quick buy since it was on a 12-month payment scheme with 0% interest in SM Appliance Center in Megamall and I bought it at a day I didn't actually expect to buy it (I still didn't have the actual money to buy it, hence the credit card purchase).
I can finally get it off my mind... and stop posting about it on my blog.
And yes, it has to have a pink case, okay.

#FebruaryWishes
Caution: This could get ugly real fast so...
It's February and since #FebruaryWishes is trending on Twitter right this very moment, I thought I might as well join the bandwagon... but not really since I will be doing my February Wishes list here on the blog instead in Twitter.

- To get a decent enough greeting on the anniversary if we're still actually together because I don't know if we still are.
- Finally land a job. I've sent out like a hundred applications since November last year. I really need this.
- Pool enough money for Brianna's birthday celebration on the 5th. Not like I need a lot of money because we're not exactly throwing a huge party for her but I currently don't have a job so...
- Pool enough money for Brianna's Kindle Fire.
- Go out on a date on Valentine's Day because it's been 4 years since I last went on a date during Valentine's. Coffee or a couple of beers with a friend/s will definitely be enough. I just don't want to be that sad girl on Twitter being all bitter during Valentine's Day.
- Get my positivity back. I don't know where it went but I really need to get it back because everything falls into place when it's with me.
So, there. Yeah. Told you it was gonna get ugly...
Happy February.
Edit (February 1, 2013 2:37pm): I might be crossing out one of those wishes one of these days as God, the greatest provider of all, has given me a solid lead to a job and on the first day of February, too! All my soon-to-be boss needs are the signatures of all the important people in the office tapos pirmahan na ng kontrata. Finally! Thank You, Lord!

Zalora Christmas Wishlist 2012
In true Aleigna Tejada fashion, I bring to you my (short) Zalora Christmas Wishlist for 2012:
I have a short Zalora wishlist here in the blog this year because I've saved all of the things I want in the wishlist tab in my Zalora account.
You can also build your own wishlist via their website but it will be better if you made your wishes come true by purchasing them. Don't worry, though, the discount code Aletotski0 [Aletotski(zero)] will provide you with a discount just as long as you buy a minimum of Php500 during your purchase in the Zalora website.

Zalora window shopping for my baby girl
Note: I know that I have a mommy blog but I don't get to update it anymore (I am moving the rest of the posts here soon...hopefully) and that is the reason why I am posting this here.
Anyway, I have always been on the look out for the prettiest baby/children stuff I can find and yes, that means even when I am online window shopping, I am still thinking of my baby girl how ever tempting it is to just buy stuff for me.
Since Zalora has such a wide range of brands, I am able to find pretty stuff that would help me become a better mom for my darling daughter.

Birthday gift for myself...
| iPad vs. Kindle Fire |
I still can't decide on which I want to buy on my birthday.
I want an iPad because let's all admit, when it comes to tablets, it's the best there is. Thing is, it's so expensive, I don't think I have the willpower to release that much money in one day. No, I do not (and will not...unless someone offers to pay for the bill every month) own a credit card because I don't trust myself with one so a credit card purchase is not an option.
The Kindle Fire is the next best thing...at least for me. It's smaller and it can be used as an e-book reader (just like an iPad, I know) and it looks decent. Best of all, it's way, way, WAY cheaper than an iPad. I can actually muster the courage to spend PHP10,000 in one day.
Why a tablet all of a sudden? Well, I came to the realization that a tab has become a necessity when you have a child. It's portable and interactive. What reason do you still need, right?
Gah. I'm torn. I hope someone gives me a tablet as a birthday gift instead so I can focus my energy and money to other things I want like granola bars or a car.

Travelling with Zalora
The family is planning an out-of-the-country trip for my sister's debut at the end of the year but being the excited little thing that I am, even without the plane tickets yet, I can't stop thinking about what I need to bring to the trip. Naturally, I went online window shopping to give me an idea of what I need to bring. I ended up in Zalora and here are some of my travel essentials picks from their boutique:
- This Tokidoki Terryl 2-set trolley is a mommy-baby must-have, if I may say so myself. When going out of the country for 3-5 days definitely calls for a lot of clothes, especially if you travel around December because of the cold weather and all the shopping you will most probably do on your trip will definitely call for a roomy luggage. In this case, the luggage is sort of a buy-one-take-one thing because the bigger luggage comes with the "baby luggage".
- A luggage tag has become a necessity now so you can quickly spot your luggage. This vintage travel agency-inspired Colulmbia retro luggage tag will do the job. I mean look at how pretty it is. You won't miss your luggage with this.
- My laptop will definitely need a nice home for the trip and I thought that this Santorini laptop case from Plains and Prints will do the job. It can even become a makeshift purse, if you have clothes that will match your laptop case.
- A shopping bag is definitely a must-have for out-of-the-country trips. I mean, you need one for a quick trip to the mall, what more to a place where you can get stuff that you can't see in the Philippines, right? This Flink Eiffel foldable shopping bag looks sturdy enough to handle all the shopping Brianna, Bry and I will most likely do.
- This resort tote bag by Jacinto & Lirio, in my opinion, is the best bag to bring to a trip. Why? The reason is simple: Look at its color. It's all summer-y and bright but look at the material in which it is made. It can be used during a rainy day without having to worry about getting the things inside of your bag wet. It is the perfect accessory to cheer you up in a gloomy weather.
- I always tend to forget to bring a pair of slippers whenever we go out of town but with these super comfy and super pretty Flexflop foldable slippers, I'm pretty sure I will never forget to bring it (even if I'm just going to the loo).
Zalora offers all of these items and more on their online shop, http://zalora.com.ph and all of the items in their website are subject to these services:
For discounts, just type Aletotski0 (Aletotski[zero]) on the coupon option on the checkout page to get a 5% discount on your purchase.

Coming Home to Mandaue Foam
I have been dreaming of the perfect home for my little family for the past few years already. Although I still don't have the money, it is a great exercise for someone who believes in the power of the Law of Attraction so much. I've been searching and scouring the malls, depots and the internet for the perfect home pieces and post them here because this blog has been serving as my make shift vision board.
Then I've come across the Mandaue Foam website. Now, I have more furniture pieces I could add to my vision board. Here are some of them:
This Provence Desk is an unexpected home office piece that will fit my minimalist dream home perfectly. I love how it looks modern and not at all bulky for a home office furniture. It also doesn't seem to give off the impression of "work" and "stress" which is perfect for a freelancer like me.
The Gregory Bookcase is perfect for my dream living room. It would probably make my not-so-amazing list of books look classy. I can also imagine our family photos finding a home in the shelves of this really pretty bookshelf.
Being half of the power (alcoholic) couple, I fell in love with this KD Jeff Pub Set that looks like a mini bar. I imagine seeing this set in the balcony where we could hangout every night and have a can of beer or two.
I love how Mandaue Foam's tagline, "Your home, your imagination", is somewhat near to PSI's mantra, "To think is to create". It adds more positive energies to my wishlist and vision board. Even the Mandaue Foam's newest TVC is something that I would have thought of if I were part of an advertising agency. (Side note: I love the bride's gown!)
I honestly think that Mandaue Foam and I will have an actual relationship when we start building our home. For now, I just have to take note of all the pieces I want.

Outbreak Manila 2 is almost here and my shoes are all worn out...
With Outbreak Manila 2 exactly a week away, I can't help but look at my running shoes. It's all worn out and I think that Outbreak BGC will be the last run that it can endure so buying a new one is a must by this time.
I browsed through the Zalora catalog sports page to find the perfect pair of running shoes and I fell in love with this the first time I saw it:
I know the Nike Free Run +3 has been launched earlier this year but I personally haven't seen it in this particular color. I've seen it in coral and in blue but never in yellow. It's so nice, right? Me likey!
I tried one on a few weeks back and it feels like I was stepping on the clouds, if I knew how stepping on clouds actually felt like. It has superb cushioning and it has the Nike protection: you feel so secure with whatever you need to do physically because you know that Nike will do its job in protecting and supporting you in your activity.
There are a whole lot of different shoe brands available in Zalora, both local and international brands. You might want to check them out, just go to http://www.zalora.com.ph/sports/ and you'll find a wide range of sports shoes there. Upon checkout, you can use the discount voucher Aletotski0 (Aletotski[zero]) to get a 5% discount on your purchase.
