22 more How I Met Your Mother episodes and I'll start binge-watching On The Wings of Love. I need to see the entire series without the commercials and the weekends and the waiting. Yes. It's happening.

Lily Aldrin

After years and years and years of watching and re-watching How I Met Your Mother, I've finally realized why I was always ready to scratch my friends' eyes out whenever they call dibs on her when the Sino-ka-sa-*insertshowhere*? game comes up during our drinking sessions: She has the most patient, understanding, loving, and supportive husband. Despite the freakout she always has when something huge comes up, her husband stands by her...even if that meant him, getting hurt in the process. I want that.

Also, she's way hot in season 2 so there you go.

Wait, whut?!

Okay, it's been a while since I last raved (or ranted) about HIMYM and the series is almost over. I have to admit, the past few episodes aren't as powerful as before except for that cheesy episode where Ted finally lets go of Robin (cheesy but yes, I cried).

The latest episode's (s09e19) closing scene, though:

It's effin' with my mind! I don't want to believe the theories I've been reading online but this scene... I don't know what to make out of it.

Watch How I Met Your Mother #TheWayYouWantIt!

I love watching TV. I decided to take up Communication Arts because I would love a job that allows me to work in TV or just to watch all the TV that I want.

I watch a whole lot of Filipino TV shows for a La Sallian and I actually enjoy them. I even get into screaming matches with the characters through our television set (I'm crazy like that). But I am not at all immune from the charm of American TV series. If anything, I talk about them here and on Twitter more than I talk about local TV shows only because I can relate to the characters of American TV shows more than I do the local TV show characters ("langit ka, lupa ako" type of situations are not really applicable to someone like me only because I'd rather not meddle with the rich and the famous...and as if they'd even notice me or anything).

My favorite TV series as of the moment has got to be How I Met Your Mother and I am quite thankful that our SKYcable DigiBox actually has 2nd Avenue and Star World where I can watch the show over and over again (even though I have the entire series up until the latest episode in my laptop AND my hard drive). This makes me wonder, though: Is there another cable channel that will allow me to catch old/new episodes of HIMYM? If so, I'd love to get it on our DigiBox. Luckily for me, SKYcable allows subscribers to add channels and packs that you like to the basic plan. So if there are other channels that air episodes of How I Met Your Mother, please please please, I beg you to tell me right away so I can add them to our current plan.

If I were given a chance, though, to watch How I Met Your Mother the way I want it, it has got to be on set and the whole production allowing interactions between me and the characters. There are a lot of times in the series that I wanted to hug the characters just to let them know that someone understands...especially Ted in the latest episode (s09e17). Oh my gosh, my feels! I just wanted to hug him, okay?! I don't even like the Ted-Robin tandem because Barnman and Robin are just ♥ but I was just so affected by one of the scenes in that episode okay!!! So, yeah, watching HIMYM on the set and allowing me to interact with them every once in a while has got to be the way I want to watch it.

If you're wondering how else you, too, can watch your favorite TV series and other cable TV shows #TheWayYouWantIt, just watch this SKYcable YouTube video:

"I'm such a mess. Why do you even like me?"

It feels good to have someone support you.

Ever since the break-up, I've been feeling like Ted here whenever people get all supportive of my actions and decisions. I know most of my friends have been there for me in the whole ordeal that is my latest relationship - and I am most certainly grateful for the support and love, friends - but for the most part, I've been focusing on all the things I've been told that I was doing wrong instead of my friends and family, cheering me on.

Now all I feel is that I am being appreciated and supported in everything - literally, EVERYTHING - I do. I think it helps that I don't just rush into things anymore and that I consult other wiser people before I make decisions now. But yeah, this support thing feels damn good. You just know that people actually believe in what you have to offer.

Side note: I can't find an existing photo from Tumblr with that quote so I had to make one. I don't know what font is being used by those Tumblr kids for the quotes so the one I used from Pixlr Express should be enough for now.

Last weekend's Murtaugh List additions

  • Drink without eating dinner
  • 2 consecutive tequila shots after finishing a liter of Jack Daniels
  • 2 whole packs of cigarette in a day
  • Sleeping the whole damn day after a drinking session
  • Puking bile without wincing
  • Watch the UAAP Finals while nursing a massive hangover
  • Sleeping on the gutter while my friends take photos
  • Have someone carry me from the gutter to the bed/sofa (but I'm really thankful he did because I can't even bring myself to sit up when he asked me to)
  • Remember what the hell happened after those kinds of drunken nights

I can't believe I got kilig over this.

I was watching the latest episode of How I Met Your Mother last night and the last shot of the episode is this:

I know there's nothing to get kilig over but I had this weird thought that maybe Ted's apartment is located right next to where Central Perk used to be:

That's when I got kilig! #notlame

Chemistry and Timing

After watching and re-watching How I Met Your Mother millions of times while waiting for the new episodes to air, I realized just now that I can totally relate to Robin in the season premiere of season 7. The chemistry, the timing, the advice... Everything! I sorta died a little while I re-watched her tell Barney how she feels as she watches Barney say the exact same words to somebody else. I mean, I know how that feels! (Sorta.)

I hope what I/we have don't have to go through the Tick Tick Tick episode, though, because there's a deal that has been made and it is ending exactly a week from now and I still haven't made a decision and it's killing me inside because I know what I want but I'm so scared to make a move and I don't know why.

(I might be assuming things at this point but that's how I've been reading the signs. If I'm reading them wrong, well, sucks for me.)

But, yeah. I hope the scene in the Splitsville episode in season 8 between Barney, Robin and Nick happens, too, because that scene got me smiling like a fool while watching it. Plus, I am not the one cutting it off with "Nick".

I am watching too much How I Met Your Mother, aren't I?

P.S. I posted the video because I am currently LSS-ing on the song plus I love the dance. Pang-first dance ng newly weds. (Mental note: I need to dance this with my groom on our wedding reception.)

Carl the Bartender

So I am re-watching How I Met Your Mother once again, while waiting for F.R.I..E.N.D.S. to finish downloading. Yes, I don't think I will ever get tired of the first 6 seasons of this series but I need to watch a new one because I am freaking myself out because I have almost memorized the lines.

Anyway, Carl the Bartender is hottest in the series' first season, me thinks. Especially in the Pineapple Incident episode. It's also the episode where he got the most exposure. I think.

Totally unrelated: I always say "Carl the Bartender" the way Ted says it in the episode where he's looking for a "date" to the Weird Al Yankovic concert (whaaaaaat?! -- I also sometimes say "What?!" the way he says it in the same episode).

#52. I love Carl the Bartender.

How is this for a teaser?

I was browsing through my Tumblr dashboard like I normally would then this post suddenly came up and I literally went bonkers. I can't wait for season 7!

Another HIMYM-related post but this is really, really relevant to my life. Swear.

Toldja it's relevant.

I kinda knew she was gonna come up.

Accurate. Kinda. Because I am not artistic in the way Lily is.

Yes, I am flooding my blog with How I Met Your Mother.

“The great moments in your life may not necessarily be the things you do. They’ll also be the things that happen to you. Now I’m not saying you can’t take action to affect the outcome of your life; you have to take action, and you will. But never forget, on any day, you could step out the front door and your whole life could change forever. You see the universe has a plan, kids. And that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps it’s wings; and it starts to rain. It’s a scary thought, but it’s also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine, constantly working. Making sure you end up exactly where you’re suppose to be and exactly when you’re suppose to be there. At the right place… at the right time.”

— Ted, How I Met Your Mother

Saw this photo on Tumblr while looking for a specific HIMYM scene...
