Birks
(Apparently, these are called "mandals" now.)
I've always wanted a pair of these babies. First fell in love with them back in high school, when all the cool kids wore them with our school PE uniforms during the school fair. Unfortunately, "mukhang pang-construction worker paa mo!", as per my college friend, Kayette, and I prolly won't be able to pull these off so I'm not buying myself a pair. If someone gives me a pair, though, I most definitely will wear them no matter what vegetable my toes look like.
I love these things. Fo realz.

The Universe gives you what you ask for, nevertheless.
Do you remember asking for something specific (you think) from the Universe before and here it is, granting your wish...catch is you don't really want it anymore.
This happened to me just a while ago. I've just woken up from my nap and there it was, the answer to my prayers...two years ago. If we were in 2012, I would've jumped at the chance but we're not anymore. Now, it's just funny that the roles have been reversed and I'm finally the one who's all "Meh." Feels damn good, to be quite honest.

"Safe space" doesn't exist anymore!
Not even Twitter! It's so hard that I can't rant or rave about anything on Twitter anymore. I mean, I can't even post how proud I am of my weight loss without sounding like I am trying to fish compliments from those who can read my tweet.
Anyway, I really am proud of how I look now. I've been working really hard and I've sacrificed a lot of free chips, free cakes, and free steaks for me to reach my goal and I'm finally here! I tried on a few clothes I've been holding on to since I got pregnant in 2010 and they look better on me now than they did before! Now I just have to firm up (eh?) the pregnancy flabs and I'm good to go.
I'd post photos if I weren't too self-conscious of how Haggardo Versoza my face looks like. Also, my room is too messy to show the world.
I need new clothes! Universe, if you're reading this, I terribly need to get that opportunity...of course, not only because I need new clothes but also because... I just need it and you probably know what it's about 'cause I keep on talking to you and God about it.

The Power?
I forgot how powerful wish lists and vision boards are. I just posted my wish list for this Christmas last Monday, right? Well, my mom decided she wanted to get me something and actually got me this:
Tomorrow, I'm going back to wish listing and vision board-ing my ass off.

Wishlist 2014
If I am not mistaken, this is my first wish list for the year which says a lot but I am not going to talk about that anymore.
Anyhoo, here are the stuff I've been lusting for these past few months:

#100HappyDays
So there's a happiness online challenge called #100HappyDays tagged to me by my friend, Angel, over Facebook. I haven't even read the entire challenge when I replied "Challenge accepted!" on the comment box just because I wanted to do it so bad.
I had a gratitude journal last year which helped me develop the habit of giving thanks for all the things - big or small - that's present in my life and it actually helped. This #100HappyDays challenge is like a gratitude journal of sorts but instead of the conventional pen-and-paper journal, they gave the participants the chance to publish their entries on popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr.
I just registered today and have posted my very first entry for the #100HappyDays challenge over at my Tumblr blog because they don't have Blogger among the options and because I didn't want to bombard everyone I know with nonsensical things...well, at least for them. I will be crossposting (not sure if I'm using the term correctly) the entries from Tumblr to here just because I originally wanted to post everything here.
So excited for this project. A lot of my friends know how important this Law of Attraction thing is for me and the littlest things related to it excites me like you wouldn't believe.
Sending out gratitude to the Universe will only give you more things to be thankful for. This is what this project is aiming to prove.

Law of Attraction, do your thang!
Since I don't have extra money to spare with enrollment season coming up, I'll leave it all up to the Universe - as usual - to give me this watch Miranda Kerr posted on her Twitter account:
I can barely even afford a Timex watch, what more a Givenchy? But, yeah. Positive vibes, come to mommeeeeeeh!
(I've been waiting for the text editor to load these past few days to post only this. Yes, that's how important Law of Attraction is to me. Hihi.)

Do I really deserve this?
I am asking that in a good way and just so you know, I am not complaining, God and Universe. I just want to make sure that I truly deserve this particular blessing because I am just so in awe of this one, I still can't believe I have it and at that fast a turnaround time. Whew.
I know I've been through quite a lot in the romantic relationship department and I've survived to tell the whole damn story from 2003 but that also doesn't equate to me, being blessed with someone who's so good, I'm actually wondering if there's a catch. Not that I'm expecting for a catch but I'm just (still!) having a hard time believing that an actual nice guy exists. Like for real.
He's not much of a looker but his chivalrous and gentleman ways make him the most attractive guy I've seen in my entire life (okay, maybe not because Kean Cipriano) and no, we're not a couple (yet) cause I want to take things slow *cue Nice and Slow intro* plus I've a lot of issues to sort out first before I can admit even to myself that I am ready to be in a relationship again. Although I'm not gonna lie, this one's pretty hard to resist.
Anyway, I really don't know what good thing/s I did that made God and the Universe decide that I actually deserve Mr. Nice Guy right here but I'm really thankful that Christmas came early this year. (Naks! Rhyming!)

Christmas 2013 Wishlist
You'd think I'd have a Christmas wishlist published 10 days before Christmas but I still don't. To be honest, I'm quite content with my life right now. Okay, maybe a steady stream of income won't hurt but overall, I'm good. I have the best daughter ever, a loving family, great sets of friends and someone who's willing to help me with my baggage. I don't think it gets better than that.
BUT for this blog's tradition's sake, here are some of the things I'd buy if I were given one hundred million dollars for the holidays/ask for if some rich fella wants to spend his money on me:
Plus two more Jordans from here and here. I don't know why but I've been lusting for (relatively) expensive sneaks these past few months. Watches, too. But the one I like most, I already have now (Thank you!) so I guess I can stop looking at watches at the moment.
There are the usual ones that have been in my wishlist for the longest time like that 2-BR condo unit, a 3-door white Pajero or that fully restored Beetle in pink. Plus, maybe, a year's supply of Cheetos Jalapeno and probably doughnuts, too (Dunkin Donuts is good).

I am blessed.
Here's one proof of how awesome my friends are.
Special shoutout to all of my friends who I have a similar conversation with either on Viber or in person that I haven't screencapped (?!) 'cause 1) Viber conversations tend to go on and on and on and get all jumbled up because it's free and 2) well, I can't screencap face-to-face conversations. Haha!
Anyway, thank you, Lord and Universe, for blessing me with awesome sets of friends who got my back and appreciate me for the rowdy, foul-mouthed tomboy that I am.

September 30, 2013
Today marks the last day of September, supposedly the greatest month of 2013. There were a lot of surprises, both pleasant and unpleasant, and I am thankful for all of them. They made me realize how lucky I am to be surrounded by people who love me and support me. That realization, that's what makes this month the greatest month of 2013.
I am just overflowing with positive vibes right now. It's funny how everything sort of works out if you just let things happen instead of forcing them to happen.
Nothing exciting/adventurous actually happened this month but it definitely is one for the books. Hands down, the most memorable birth month I've had in years.

Very funny, Universe.
So, the Universe decided to throw something in this already weird mix of emotions I am having just in time for the last day of September. This surprise is good, too. Not as good as this one but good enough to make me more confused than I already am.
Not that I'm complaining, Universe, but these types of things really mess up my head, I probably will have to set-up a new blog for it...but I'm not gonna because I don't think whatever's going on in here is going to progress in any way.
Good thing about this, though, is that I didn't think of him the entire weekend.

I'm feeling so good!
I'm feeling so good.
I know that I would.
Been taking care of myself like I should.
'Cause not one thing can bring me down.
Nothing in this world's gonna turn me around.
I knew reading back on my previous posts will bring me positive vibes. :)
One thing's for sure: I made December 2012/January 2013 Ale really, really, REALLY happy. Law of Attraction...you really don't disappoint! Konting tiyaga lang ang kailangan...
Also, thanks to Jennifer Lopez for today's song.

Non-negotiable.
After the 2 heartbreaking weeks I just had, I finally managed to recover (a bit) and I thought of a non-negotiable. Non-negotiables are these things my friends told me I should have in order to have this sort of quality control over the guys I get into relationships with.
Anyway, I already have two from a previous blog post: the guy should accept and love my daughter fully and that he is on-board with all the goal-setting and universe-attracting that I do ('cause I do those a lot...A LOT! SERIOUSLY A LOT. I can't stress that enough).
The third non-negotiable, I guess, is that he should love me more than I love him. I know that sounds so mean but I've had it with putting jerks ahead of myself and getting hurt in the process. It just gets really, really, REALLY tiring.
It's a given that I would be head over heels in love with this guy but he should be fvckin' crazy about me. Not in the freaky, psycho kind of way. The annoying-to-other-people kind of fvckin' crazy about me. Complete with the Facebook/Twitter/Instagram couple photo updates, accompanying me/me and Brianna to wherever, meeting and loving my family and friends as much as I do (especially the friends!), the gifts, the non-stop landian in person, online, etc, the works! Plus, of course, keeping up with all the serious relationship stuff I screw up in all the time and great, great, great mind-blowing sex.
Yes, I am looking for the perfect guy now. I am done giving idiots excuses for the way they treat me.

Just like that...
One full week hasn't even passed since the best day of 2013 - of my life, to be perfectly honest - when one of my greatest heartbreaks, ever, happened. I don't think I lacked the enthusiasm or the amount of positive vibes required by the universe for me to consistently receive all the lovin' but all of a sudden, I got dropped from the highest point of the "ride" and it feels like I'm plummeting to a tank full of piranhas that are my emotions.
But even if I've been let down, I still believe in the power of the Universe. After all, I'm in this position because of it. The best day of 2013 happened with the help of it. With that said, I am putting all these bad vibes to rest and will focus on attracting better things for myself again. Tomorrow, I will be better.
It won't hurt, though, for this weekend to top last week. I don't know how the hell it's going to happen because I've dubbed last weekend as such but I know it is possible. I have some ideas but they seem far-fetched now.

The great September surprise!
I knew that September has a lot in store for me and as usual, the Universe hasn't failed me. There are a lot of things I am thankful for, starting off with the Oplan Balik-Alindog 2013: Full Throttle but the best of all the surprises (yes, I am saying it's the best even if we're not even halfway through September. It's that good!)... AHHHH! I don't know how I should write it but you have to take my word for it: IT'S THE GREATEST SURPRISE OF SEPTEMBER 2013! I didn't expect for it to happen. Yeah, I've been sorta attracting it but not fully but still, the Universe granted it. I couldn't thank the Universe enough!
We're on the second week of September and I know/hope there are more pleasant surprises - birthday gifts, if you will - that will be coming my way in the next few days and I am already sincerely thanking God and the Universe for sending them over to me.
(Dear Universe, I might've been emo on Twitter a few times yesterday and today and yes, it is in relation to the "greatest surprise of 2013" but rest assured that I am really thankful for what you've sent my way. It's silly of me to even doubt it. More, more please! But not to the point that I will regret it. Saktuhan lang please, pwede? :D)

First of September
I have been looking forward to this month since July and I'm not even sure why and now, it's here: My birth month!
I am pretty sure I won't celebrate my birthday the whole month but I know it's gonna be the greatest month of 2013, starting it off with Oplan Balik-Alindog: Full Throttle. Then a week-ender with the usual college peeps in a new environment. First week palang, pakak na!
But the best thing about this month is the fact that this is the first time IN 10 FREAKIN YEARS that I will be celebrating my birthday as a single lady. How can I not be excited, right?!
Good God, I don't think I'll be able to sleep this whole month because I'm looking forward to every damn day of September!
Wake me up when September ends? More like keep me up til September ends. I know it doesn't make any sense but I'm so freakin' excited to find out what the Universe has in store for me this month, I most probably won't make any sense most of the time.
Woohoo! Let's do this!

But since I am a single, work-from-home mom who's yet to own a business of her own, I'll just post this on my vision wall first.

That's the dream!
Growing up in the South led me to dream this dream: To be an Alabang wife/mom.
I've always imagined living in the South. Yes, even though the babydaddy knocked me up and was practically forcing me to live way up North, I was still fantasizing of kissing my scruffy husband goodbye as he hurries off to work, taking my 2 kids to DLSZ/San Beda Alabang early in the morning, going home to an awesome house near Alabang Town Center and just lounge at the terrace while watching my neighbors' household help walk their dogs or water their plants. There's something about the South that has stuck with me and now, more than ever, I can't seem to shake it off. I have a feeling that this dream finally has the chance to come true. Not that I've finally found my dream scruffy South guy; - technically, I did but he doesn't like me like that - it's more of I've let go of the lie I've been telling myself that I can totally settle actually growing old somewhere North of Metro Manila...that I can settle with less than what I want (and deserve, if I may say so myself).
I won't be disappointing my 10-year-old self, after all... Maybe...
