This song!

Please remember that I am a proud jologs.

On that note, I looooooooove this song!

Every Pinoy (ABS-CBN) teleserye and movie from the past - I don't know - 2 years? has this song on their track list and it always, always, ALWAYS gets stuck in my head right after hearing it. Even if I don't know any lyric, the melody just sticks to you... No? Just me? Okay. I don't care. I just freakin' love this song.

Let it go... That perfect girl is gone.

I know I'm moooooooonths late on joining the Frozen bandwagon and I'm very sorry, Brianna, I've failed you (LOL not really) but this song...it's definitely written for me! Yes, I am a 15-year-old spoiled little snob who thinks EVERYTHING is about her trapped in a 20-something single mom's body.

But seriously, whenever this song comes on - which in this household is a LOT, thanks to Brianna - I shut down and think of all the things I will achieve this year if I just let go of the thought that I am not good enough and that I am a failure. After that, I get all determined and focused and stuff. It's like my anthem of sorts.

"It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through. No right, no wrong; no rules for me, I'm free!"

Relapse.

Why does tonight have to end?
Why don't we hit restart and pause it at our favorite parts?
We'll skip the goodbyes.
If I had it my way, I'd turn the car around and runaway, just you and I.

Pare Ko by Eraserheads

Not bragging or anything but I can't recall one other time when I actually pounded my chest because of a song/guy as much as I did when this song played in Tides the morning of my birthday. Seriously.

"Ba't ba ang labo niya? Di ko mapinta. Hanggang kailan maghihintay, ako ay nabuburat na..."

New favorite workout (old) song.

I don't even know if my title makes sense but what the hell...

While working out earlier today, I've stumbled upon Cassie's song, Me and You, after a long long time. I was so into the beat while working out, I didn't realize how relevant the lyrics are to my life right now. After cooling down, I actually listened to it again and thought "Hmmm... Interesting." Not that I can totes relate to each and every word of the song but, yeah. It's basically the perfect song.

"I was waiting for you to tell me you were ready. I know what to do if only you would let me..."

Also, once I get my rockin' body, I'd wear what Cassie's sporting in the video while working out. That's the dream!

The Chito Miranda x Rico Blanco Collaboration

I'm not really a fan of alternative music or any music that includes guitar riffs or drum solos but the OPM scene has always been an exception. Okay, maybe the OPM scene back in the 90s and a very few songs released in the past decade. I just can't stand all the "Neseye ne eng lehet..." and "Boom karakaraka" that have been playing in almost every radio station I (don't) listen to and every music store I enter. I'm not hating on Daniel Padilla and Vice Ganda or anything. I mean, if you follow me on Twitter, you'd know how I get kilig over Daniel Padilla and the way he looks at Kathryn Bernardo whenever they're on TV and how I am a huge fan of GGV. It's just that they don't make Pinoy songs the way they used to...

Enter Chito Miranda and Rico Blanco. They've been exchanging tweets about hanging out in Rico's place, cooking up something, but disguising it as "trip-trip lang", nothing to get excited over but I know I am not the only one who thought "Yeah, right, wala lang" because they're friggin' Chito Miranda and Rico Blanco! What's so "wala lang" about them, right? I KNOW.

So anyway, here's the "trip-trip lang" track they were talking about:

It's called Panahon Na Naman ng Harana and it's some sort of a mash-up of Harana and Panahon Na Naman - obviously - but there's nothing "trip-trip lang" about it. I mean, like I said, they're friggin' Chito Miranda and Rico Blanco!

"Ain't nothin' you can say to me that can change my mind, I gotta let you go now. And nothin' will ever be the same, so just be on your way, go 'head and do your thing now..."

Don't wanna try no more.

Sunday is cleaning day in the Tejada household and after 349871893479817232 years, I decided to join in the chaos that is my mom running back and forth like a chicken with its head cut off. While wiping dust off of my desk - I haven't been living in my room for the longest time - this song came on the iPod. I literally stopped cleaning and just listened to it. One word: SAPUL.

This completes phase numero uno of Oplan ItAin'tOver, if you know what I mean... (You probably don't but my friends [My Humps] do.)

Na-Torete na!

This is one of the songs from that unforgettable night. *sigh*

Akala ko nung una, may bukas ang ganito.
Mabuti pang umiwas pero salamat na rin at nagtagpo.

#MayWish: Isa pang pagkakataon, please.

Elmo's definitely got the moves.

Having a kid has a lot of perks and it includes finding funky children's songs like this one:

I play this at least twice a day, and yes, even without Brianna. I even sing-along to it. Sorry I'm not sorry.

This song reminds me of T-Pain, though, I don't know why...

Holding down my spot and I'm good.

So, I know I've been a pain in the positive thinker's ass these past few days especially last February 13 when I decided to go on a depression spree and I want to apologize for that. I mean, I want to believe that it's somewhat healthy to give yourself the reality check you so desperately need and a (yearly?) dose of self-pity is inevitable with reality check, if you ask me.

Anyway, I want to believe that I'm doing much better now. I don't know. I just woke up this morning thinking that I really needed to get out of the rut I am in and all of a sudden, I did. I think it's just the Valentine's season that got me all riled up. Now that it's all over with, I think I can start doing the things I've been doing before again...

Side note: This post's title is inspired by this song, which by the way is perfect for me right now.

Amats

I was browsing through my Facebook feed this morning when I stumbled upon Rico Blanco's Facebook fan page and saw this song on the page's wall:

I honestly didn't listen to the song when he released it last year and now that I've heard and understood the song, I can't believe I waited this long to listen to it. Okay, maybe the whole Fiesto Bandido persona scared me and I love, love, love the Your Universe album that I don't want anything to ruin that Rico Blanco for me but because of this song, I am giving Galactik Fiestamatik a chance.

Obvious naman diba ang amats ko sa'yo kakaiba...

Suntok sa Buwan is THE song, okay?

I know I said here that Akap is THE song but I stand corrected. It's Session Road's Suntok sa Buwan! Every damn word in the song is perfect to what I am going through right now. Ugh! How can I not have this in my laptop?! If I didn't have that random LSS today, I wouldn't have realized that it's THE song and I wouldn't have known that I don't have a copy of it.

Hindi ko 'to gusto pero wag kang lalayo...
Ka-ka-ka-kaboom!

Heard this while on our way to Tagaytay a few days ago and thought: "Ito yun e."

Sasamahan ka sa tamis. Sasamahan ka sa pait. Sasamahan ka sa dilim. Sasamahan ka hanggang langit.

I don't know how to feel about Nicki Minaj

I have a love-hate relationship with Nicki Minaj. On the one hand, her entire look annoys the hell out of me. I mean, if you look at most of her photos online or if you've seen her music videos and TV appearances, you'll get what I mean.

On the other hand, her songs and collaborations are really dance-y and catchy, which I like...a lot. Superbass is overplayed and I honestly wouldn't want to hear it again anytime soon but at one point, I really, sincerely liked listening to it. Sort of like how I used to like (and got tired of) Flo Rida's Low. Now that I think about it, it has been years since I last listened to it so I might enjoy listening to Low again...

Anyway, I've been singing Starships in my head for the past 5 days and I can't seem to get it off. A part of me wants it there and another part of me wants it out because I might get tired of it.

My Get Psyched Mix

Inspired by Barney Stinson's Get Psyched Mix, for this Saturday's night out
(Please forgive my playlist for being so outdated.)

  • Forever - Chris Brown
  • Bebot - Black Eyed Peas
  • Yeah! - Usher feat. Ludacris and Li'l Jon
  • Yeah 3x - Chris Brown
  • OMG - Usher feat. Will I Am
  • Closer - Ne-Yo
  • Starships - Nicky Minaj
  • Low - Flo Rida feat. T-Pain
  • Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO
  • DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love - Usher
  • Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera
  • Hot in Here - Nelly
  • Imma Be - Black Eyed Peas
  • 2012 - Jay Sean
  • Sexy Back - Justin Timberlake
  • Dance Again - Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull
  • Climax Scream - Usher (Thanks sa pagpuna, Babes! :D)
  • Shots - LMFAO

I have some RnB songs I wanted to add to the list like Booty Music, All I See and Bust It Baby but the Get Psyched Mix should be "all rise" and those other songs weren't exactly dance-y. They're more of sexytime songs so they did not make the cut.

Updating my playlist

Being a full-time mom does weird things to your playlist like having these four songs added into it while you play them (supposedly) for your daughter non-stop for a month:

I guess it's obvious why I like this song. It's all about love. It's the closest thing that the Hi5 gang has to a love song. Actually, I just checked the lyrics here and it is indeed a love song. It's simple but it's a really sweet song.

Wow! is about doing things that you think you cannot do. It's empowering. It's telling us to do whatever we want and be whatever we want to be because we were all born amazing.

Some Kind of Wonderful is yet another love song in this children's songs line-up. I love how whoever this song is written for is everything to the person who wrote it. It's the perfect pop love song.

This last song became a part of the playlist not because of the lyrics but because of the music. I love how the song would (probably) fit in a (really cheesy) club playlist.

I hope I'm not the only one with weird children's songs in my playlist... Well, actually, I take that back. I really like these songs (plus Tim Maddren is in all the videos so...)

ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID 2012

I don't know why but ABS-CBN's station IDs always, always appeal to me and this year's Christmas station ID is no different. I especially love the - and I can't believe I'm saying this - Daniel Padilla part and the transition to Bamboo Manalac just gave me chills.

I would just like know the reason why Kean Cipriano had, like, a 1-second appearance in the 6-minute-something video. That is all.

Edit: The video posted above is just the station ID recording. The actual Christmas station ID is this one:

They launched this one just this evening, in TV Patrol.

Great news (for me) is Kean Cipriano has a (relatively) longer exposure in this video and he looks really cute in the footage.

Please excuse my fangirl-iness.

I don't even like watching American Idol.

I don't watch American Idol but this particular episode got me intrigued because she sang an Aerosmith song in front of Steven Tyler and that is always interesting. Anyway, I forgot how great Mariah Carey was in the 90s until I heard this song again. I used to love her before, when she wasn't all-boobed (and nosed) up yet.
